Roy Akerman

Roy is the co-founder and CEO of Rezonate, a cloud identity security company acquired by Silverfort in 2024. With 20 years of service heading Israeli Cyber DefenseOperations, Roy defended Israel's critical infrastructure and public companies against cyberattacks, terror, and digital espionage. He was also part of the founding team of NISA, Israel's equivalent of the NSA. He now lives in Boston after pursuing an MBA at MIT Sloan and serving as the VP of Product Incubation at Cybereason. Now leading a team of thought leaders who have experienced the evolution of identity risks and challenges, Roy oversees strategic opportunities for Silverfort to bring identity security to the forefront of a new hybrid reality. In his podcast Identity Decoded co-hosted with Rob Ainscough, Roy offers a no-nonsense, security-first approach that encourages listeners to be real about what it takes to win against identity-first attacks.
